On August 18, 2021, in Decatur, Alabama, 22-year-old Avery Robertson was fatally shot during an altercation. Police responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of McDonald Court SW, where they found Robertson with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Parkway Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
