On September 18, 2021, 21-year-old Bryan Keith Maynard Jr. was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Shoppes at Bel Air Mall in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:11 p.m. near the DXL store. After being shot, Maynard was found in the passenger seat of a vehicle outside the nearby Firestone Complete Auto Care. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
