In the early morning hours of Saturday, February 23, 2013, the life of Damon Luke Brown, a Black man, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. At approximately 2:53 a.m., in the 300 block of Livingston Terrace in the Southeast quadrant of the city, Brown was shot and killed. There is conflicting information regarding his age at the time of his death, with some reports stating he was 39 and others indicating he was 49 years old.
