Michael Woods, a 20-year-old African American male from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on December 22, 2021. The incident occurred in the 5800 block of Darien Drive at approximately 8:10 p.m. When officers and medics arrived at the scene, they found Woods with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
