On January 7, 2022, in Moundville, Alabama, 47-year-old Jayson Tyrone Duncan was fatally shot during a family dispute. Moundville Police Chief Toby Banks reported that officers responded to a shooting call around 2:50 p.m. on County Line Road, where they found Duncan with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Family members were attempting CPR as emergency medical services arrived. Duncan was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center but did not survive his injuries.
