In the fading daylight of a January afternoon in Northport, Alabama, 16-year-old David Martin Jr. was fatally shot while sitting in his car on Valley Hills Drive on January 17, 2022. The Tuscaloosa County High School student was struck by multiple bullets and was rushed to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries that evening.
