On January 17, 2022, 16-year-old David Martin Jr. was fatally shot while sitting in his vehicle at the Valley Hills Apartments in Northport, Alabama. The incident occurred around 3 p.m., and upon arrival, authorities found Martin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
