On February 11, 2022, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Montgomery police responded to a shooting near the intersection of North Decatur and Columbus streets. Upon arrival, they discovered that 3-year-old Ja'Seyon Malachi Green had been critically injured. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
