An argument on an early Easter morning in 2022 escalated into a fatal exchange of gunfire that ended the life of 24-year-old Justin Trotter. The altercation occurred in Prichard, Alabama, where Trotter and another man, 25-year-old Romello Williams, were involved in a dispute that turned deadly. Both men shot and killed each other in the confrontation.
The tragic events of that day extended beyond the initial shooting.
Following the incident, both Trotter and Williams were transported to a local Mobile hospital, where they were pronounced dead. As news of the shootings spread, friends and family of the deceased gathered at the hospital. In the parking lot, a second altercation erupted, leading to another shooting.
A friend of one of the initial victims, 42-year-old Robert McMillan, had come to the emergency room to check on his friend. While in the parking lot, an argument broke out among several people. A person then exited a gray Hyundai Sonata and shot McMillan before fleeing the scene. McMillan succumbed to his injuries, marking the third death in a series of connected violent events that unfolded on Easter Sunday. The suspect in McMillan's death has not been publicly identified or apprehended.
