In the early hours of July 10, 2022, law enforcement officers from the Henry County Sheriff's Office and the Abbeville Police Department responded to a reported firearm assault at 6377 County Road 57 South in Abbeville, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 50-year-old Barbara Williamson Shaw with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Henry County Coroner Derek Wright pronounced her deceased at the scene.
