The altercation occurred at a residence on Pine Ridge Road. According to investigators with the Madison Police Department, the two brothers were engaged in an argument that escalated, culminating in Jalen King allegedly shooting his brother. Responding officers found Darrius T.
King with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jalen King was taken into custody by the Madison Police and has since been charged with murder in connection with his brother's death. He was booked into the Madison County Jail. The case is expected to proceed through the county's legal system.
