In the quiet town of Sylacauga, Alabama, the community was shaken by the violent and untimely death of 23-year-old DeAnthony Latrell Elston. On the afternoon of Saturday, September 17, 2022, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace around Wood Street. When officers from the Sylacauga Police Department arrived at the scene around 12:30 p.m., they discovered a gray Dodge Challenger, and inside, the tragic outcome of the reported gunshots.
