On the evening of December 19, 2022, Kendrick Devon Higginbottom, a 31-year-old Black male from Pine Apple, Alabama, was fatally shot in the Snow Hill community of Wilcox County. Law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire around 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Kendrick Devon Higginbottom deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.
