In the early evening of January 21, 2023, tragedy struck in Montgomery, Alabama, forever altering the life of Andrew Lee Russell, a 37-year-old Black / African American male. At approximately 6:20 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 800 block of Westview Drive. When Montgomery police officers arrived at the scene, they found Russell suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
