In the winter of 2023, the life of 34-year-old Devadney Sanchez Lauderdale, a male resident of Sylacauga, Alabama, was cut short in a burst of violence. On the evening of Sunday, February 5th, officers from the Sylacauga Police Department were dispatched to the Drew Court housing complex following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Lauderdale in the front yard of a residence on Sherwood Drive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
