On May 15, 2023, 33-year-old Terrell Powell was fatally shot in his Greensboro, Alabama, home. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. when an unknown assailant fired into Powell's residence on Parakeet Drive, as well as another nearby mobile home. Authorities, including Greensboro Assistant Police Chief Willie Lewis, suggested that Powell's death might have been a case of mistaken identity.
