On June 11, 2023, 34-year-old Dwyer Koharrell Fields of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot in front of a residence on the 100 block of Fair Street in Hueytown. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., and Fields was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:09 a.m.
