On October 7, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., 17-year-old Frederick Lamar Harvey III was fatally shot in a drive-by incident in the 1000 block of 27th Avenue in Hueytown, Alabama. Responding officers found Harvey deceased in the back seat of a vehicle. Witnesses reported that an unknown vehicle had pulled alongside Harvey's car and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
