On September 7, 2023, Alexis "Lexi" White, a 23-year-old dispatcher with the Cullman County Sheriff's Office in Alabama, was fatally shot by her boyfriend, Deputy Kenneth Booth, in Orange Beach, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. in the common area of the Seaside Beach & Racquet Club on Perdido Beach Boulevard, where the couple was staying. An argument between the two escalated, leading Booth to draw his weapon and shoot White before turning the gun on himself.
