On September 30, 2023, at approximately 11:36 p.m., officers from the Saraland Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 7200 block of Hardy Drive in Eight Mile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 41-year-old Geneva Kennedy suffering from a gunshot wound; she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
