On August 1, 2015, 55-year-old Albert McCracken from Eight Mile, Alabama, was fatally shot in his residence during an apparent home invasion. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots around midnight and observed a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene shortly thereafter. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered McCracken's body in the living room, with evidence suggesting a struggle had occurred.
