Tanario Abner, a 21-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on November 17, 2023, in a tragic incident that has drawn attention to issues of gun violence in the city. Abner was found with gunshot wounds at a residence in the 1800 block of Pinebrook Drive, a neighborhood in the eastern part of Montgomery. Police responded to reports of the shooting around 11:00 p.m., and Abner was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
