In the late hours of a Friday night in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Tanario Abner was tragically cut short. On November 17, 2023, police and fire medics responded to a call on Fountain Circle at approximately 10:39 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Abner suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities immediately launched a homicide investigation into his death.
The investigation into the shooting death of Tanario Abner, a male resident of Montgomery, progressed over the following months, leading to the identification of two suspects. In a significant development, the Montgomery Police Department announced the arrest of a 16-year-old juvenile on Sunday, February 11, 2024. The teenage suspect was charged with capital murder in connection with Abner's death and was subsequently placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
