Death by Force

On May 13, 2014, Brandon McClain, a 25-year-old resident of Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot during an altercation at a gas station on Forbes Drive. The incident began when McClain and Courtney Fuller engaged in a dispute inside the store. McClain, unarmed, requested the store clerk to call the police; however, the clerk, who was Fuller's cousin, declined to do so. As McClain attempted to leave the premises, Fuller drew a handgun and shot him four times, including once in the back.
