In the early morning hours of December 5, 2023, a tragedy unfolded in Mobile, Alabama, that cut short the life of 9-year-old Cailee Knight. While asleep on the couch in her mother's home on Rhett Drive, Cailee was struck by gunfire in a drive-by shooting. Multiple rounds were fired into the residence, with at least two striking the young girl. She was rushed to a local hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
