On a December day in 2003, the life of Warren Dewayne Sims, a 28-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On December 13th, as he was leaving a store on Avenue E, he was fatally shot. Investigators believe that two suspects had followed him from inside the establishment before opening fire as he attempted to flee. The shooting left a family and community searching for answers that have remained elusive for years.
