In the early hours of Christmas Eve 2023, a festive night out turned tragic in Guntersville, Alabama, culminating in the death of 22-year-old Hillard Randall Kimbrough. A resident of Guntersville, the young man was at the Clase Azul Night Club & Bar on Highway 431 when violence erupted. Gunshots shattered the atmosphere of the nightclub at approximately 3:30 a.m., leaving Kimbrough with fatal injuries.
