On the evening of April 23, 2024, at approximately 9:33 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Prairie Avenue in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Jaylin Craig deceased in the driver's seat of a vehicle, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. A male juvenile victim was also found in a separate vehicle with life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
