On the evening of May 11th, amidst a gathering of approximately 1,000 people, an argument escalated into a hail of gunfire that ripped through the crowd. One of the deceased was 37-year-old Chiquita Ewing, a mother of four from Century, Florida, who was known for her bright smile and sweet nature.
The investigation into the mass shooting led to the arrests of several individuals. Mack Arthur Adams, 25, of Bay Minette, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Chiquita Ewing and 18-year-old Michael Anderson Jr. Another suspect, Robert German Brown Jr., 24, of Mobile, was also charged with two counts of murder in connection with their deaths. A third individual, 19-year-old Tyquan Tiques French, was charged with the murder of the third victim, 24-year-old Christian Bradley.
According to law enforcement, the violence erupted following a dispute that had occurred a week prior. Investigators believe that nearly 50 rounds were fired from multiple weapons during the incident. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as the once peaceful event descended into violence.
