In the late summer evening of August 28, 2024, a dispute in Birmingham, Alabama, turned deadly for 40-year-old Diana Lajoyce McCall. The Black/African American woman was found by Birmingham Police Department officers lying on a sidewalk in the 7700 block of 5th Avenue South with a gunshot wound.
