On September 28, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire at Range 231, an entertainment venue located at 3250 Wetumpka Highway in Montgomery County, Alabama. Upon arrival, they learned that a gunshot victim had been transported to Baptist South Hospital prior to their arrival. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Cardell O’Brian from Union Springs, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
