On the night of November 30, 2016, Marcus Barnes, a 24-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was shot and killed in the 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest. The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 pm, and police responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunshots in the area. Barnes was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
