On June 14, 2018, at approximately 9:32 PM, Anchorage Police responded to reports of gunfire at the Puffin Inn parking lot, located at 4400 Spenard Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Jaymes I. Bradley deceased at the scene. Investigations revealed that a group of individuals, all acquainted with one another, had convened in the parking lot and became involved in an altercation concerning a prior agreement.
Following the incident, detectives identified 32-year-old Orlando
G. Holder as the primary suspect. An arrest warrant was issued, charging Holder with second-degree murder, manslaughter, and third-degree misconduct involving a weapon. On June 19, 2018, officers from the Investigative Support Unit apprehended Holder in the Mountain View area of Anchorage. He was subsequently questioned by detectives and transported to the Anchorage Correctional Complex.
The Anchorage Police Department advised the public not to approach Holder prior to his arrest, as he was considered armed and dangerous. They also requested that anyone with information related to the case contact authorities or Crime Stoppers to assist in the investigation.
