On a summer night in Anchorage, 18-year-old Asian, Alex Thanapong Yu, a male, stepped into the Alano Club on Spenard Road—a sober space that often hosted late-night gatherings for teens and young adults—just hours before July 18, 2015 would begin to blur into grief.
