On May 3, 1982, 19-year-old Vern Jay Sylvester II was tragically murdered in Anchorage, Alaska. He was one of four teenagers—two boys and two girls—who were shot to death in Russian Jack Springs Park. The victims were identified as Vern Sylvester, 19; Joseph Kimler, 19; Sabrina Imlach, 16; and Rebecca Phillips, 16. The group had been camping in the park when they encountered Charles L.
