On June 18, 2018, at approximately 4:00 PM, Anchorage police responded to a shooting incident at a residence in the 6000-block of Austin Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult males with gunshot wounds: 48-year-old Geoffrey Sorden, who was deceased at the scene, and the homeowner, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
