On July 20, 2018, 31-year-old Brittany Sparks was found deceased in an apartment in the Mountain View neighborhood of Anchorage, Alaska, with a fatal gunshot wound to her upper body. The Anchorage Police Department identified 36-year-old Clint Registe as a person of interest in the case. Registe was later arrested on September 11, 2018, and charged with manslaughter and second-degree murder in connection with Sparks' death.
