A 35-year-old Native Alaskan woman, Daisy Delarm, was found dead on July 19, 2023, south of Glennallen, Alaska. She lived in Tonsina. At 4:38 p.m. that day, Alaska State Troopers responding to a report of a deceased female at mile 4.5 of the Old Edgerton Highway arrived to find her body. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation led to the identification of a suspect, 26-year-old Tristin Dean Harvey of Kenny Lake. Harvey was still at the scene when troopers arrived.
He resisted arrest, and in the process assaulted troopers, causing them minor injuries.
Harvey was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, and fourth-degree assault. He was taken into custody and held without bail at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. Authorities from the Alaska Bureau of Investigation joined the investigation.
The suspect reportedly told a family member that he had killed Daisy Delarm. Investigators observed a freshly dug hole outside Harvey's home, which they believed was intended to conceal her body. The case was ongoing following his arrest.
