On April 18, 2021, Jose Manuel Araujo, a 39-year-old resident of Tulare, California, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in southeast Bakersfield. The Kern County Sheriff's Office reported that the shooting occurred around 12:23 a.m. on White Lane near South Union Avenue.
