On November 20, 2023, Alaska State Troopers conducted a welfare check at a residence in Wasilla, Alaska, where they discovered the bodies of 31-year-old Kelsey Ables and her 7-year-old son, Kason Ables, along with 45-year-old Ryan Casey. Investigations revealed that Casey, Kelsey's boyfriend, had fatally shot her and Kason before taking his own life.
