On November 11, 2024, 45-year-old Enrique Cortes was fatally shot while driving his pickup truck in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Parkway East in the Roebuck area. Cortes was traveling southbound when another vehicle pulled alongside and an unknown suspect opened fire, striking him.
