Paul Devaried Terry, Jr., a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on Friday, October 11, 2024, following what authorities have described as a verbal altercation. Terry had visited a home in the 8200 block of 4th Avenue North. It was there that a verbal disagreement erupted between Terry and another individual. The argument escalated with shocking swiftness, culminating in the suspect allegedly shooting Terry. Though wounded, Terry attempted to escape the danger, fleeing to a nearby shed located in the 300 block of 83rd Street North. It was in this small outbuilding that he ultimately collapsed from his injuries.
Officers responded to a report of the shooting at approximately 12:19 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Terry unresponsive inside the shed.
