On a tragic Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama, 42-year-old Markeisha Gettings' life was cut short in a hail of gunfire. The incident, which occurred on July 13, 2024, unfolded at a privately owned nightclub on 27th Street North where a birthday party was being celebrated. Gettings was inside the club when at least one suspect opened fire from the street into the building around 11:00 p.m.
