Daniel Allen Johnson, 43, of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on June 24, 2024, during an officer-involved incident. The Birmingham Police Department received a call regarding a disturbance at the 700 Apartments on 34th Street South in the Forest Park-South Avondale area. Upon arrival, an officer encountered Johnson in the parking lot and began speaking with him while requesting backup.
