On June 29, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., 25-year-old Javonte McDonald was fatally shot while driving on Interstate 59 South near the 1st Avenue North exit in Birmingham, Alabama. East Precinct officers responded to reports of a person shot and discovered a pink Dodge Challenger off the roadway. Inside the vehicle, McDonald was found deceased from a gunshot wound, and another adult male passenger was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries; he was transported to UAB Hospital for treatm ...Read More
