Javonte McDonald, a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically killed in a shooting that unfolded on Interstate 59 South in Birmingham, Alabama, on the night of June 29, 2024. The incident, which is being investigated as a homicide, is believed by authorities not to have been a random act of violence.
