On the evening of June 15, 2024, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating over 50 gunshots fired in the 8200 block of 1st Avenue North, near East Lake Park. Upon arrival, officers discovered a chaotic scene involving multiple vehicles and gunshot victims.
