On April 15, 2024, 33-year-old Eric Savoy Brown was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 10:10 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating ten gunshots near Graymont Avenue and Center Street. While en route, the call was updated to report a person shot at 6th Avenue West and Center Street.
