On April 8, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Birmingham police officers responded to a report of a person shot at a residence in the 600 block of Carline Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 40-year-old Jeffrey Pleasant unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
