In the early morning hours of Saturday, April 8, 2023, the life of 40-year-old Jeffrey Pleasant, a Black male from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Just before 1:00 AM, Birmingham Police Department's West Precinct officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Carline Avenue following a report of a person shot.
