On March 22, 2023, at approximately 4:55 p.m., Leeds police officers responded to a reported domestic assault in the 7900 block of Charles Barkley Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Jeremy Marcel Marbury suffering from sharp force injuries. Despite medical assistance, Marbury was pronounced dead at the scene.
