On October 15, 2023, 23-year-old Quindarrius Antonio "Bubba" Brown was fatally shot in Bessemer, Alabama. At approximately 11:19 p.m., Bessemer police responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of 1st Avenue North, where they found Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he was pronounced dead at 7:09 a.m. the following morning.
