On November 9, 2022, at approximately 1:57 p.m., 21-year-old Montrial Tremaine Hardy was involved in a shooting incident in the 4500 block of Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert, South Precinct officers arrived at the scene to find Hardy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 2:45 p.m.
