On a tragic Tuesday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 19-year-old Stephen Lawrence Scott Jr. was cut short by gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred just before 10:00 p.m. on September 20, 2022, at an apartment complex on Aspen Run. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim tableau; Scott was found deceased inside a vehicle, the victim of a violent outburst that also left another man injured inside one of the apartments.
